Windows
- Install loopMIDI Download and launch loopMIDI from tobias-erichsen.de. In the loopMIDI window click + to create a new port — name it something clear like WebMIDI to Windows. Leave loopMIDI running in the system tray; the port only exists while it's running.
- Connect Dryer to the port Open Dryer in Chrome (required for WebMIDI). Click the MIDI status bar at the bottom of the module and select your loopMIDI port. If the port isn't listed, refresh the page and try again.
- Route to your DAW or softsynth Your Windows apps should now see the loopMIDI device. Configure your DAW or synth to receive MIDI input from it — typically via Preferences › MIDI Inputs.
- Have Funn!
Mac
- Create a virtual port via IAC Driver Open Applications › Utilities › Audio MIDI Setup. From the menu choose Window › Show MIDI Studio. Double-click the IAC Driver icon, check Device is online, then click + in the Ports area to add a bus — name it something like WebMIDI to MAC. This bus is now a virtual MIDI cable available system-wide.
